Three teams take titles at Glenmaura National

A scorecard playoff determined a pair of divisional winners in the 18th Founders Four-Ball at Glenmaura National Golf Club (par 71, 6,584 yards) Thursday.

Country Club of Scranton’s Stephon Draper and Elmhurst Country Club’s Doug Nardella and carded a 4-under-par 67 to take the Amateur Division. Wyoming Valley Country Club’s Jeff Lewis and Eric Plisko matched that mark. However, using the USGA-recommended scorecard tiebreaker, which first examines back-nine totals, Draper and Nardella prevailed at 3 under.

In the Senior Division (par 71, 6,151 yards), Wyoming Valley’s Art Brunn, Jr. and Elmhurst’s William Pabst, Sr. defeated Olde Homestead Golf Club’s David Blichar and Jeff Hudson in a scorecard playoff. Both teams finished regulation tied at 4-under-par 67. The tiebreaker went to Brunn and Pabst on the matter of the final three holes.

Wyoming Valley’s Richard Berry and Joseph Weiscarger won the Super-Senior Division (par 71, 5,694 yards) with a score of 5-under-par 66.
