Upper Deck Golf Takes Center Stage at Citizens Bank Park

This week, Citizens Bank Park has been transformed into a golfing haven as Upper Deck Golf takes over the iconic MLB stadium, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines the thrill of golf with the grandeur of playing on the Philadelphia Phillies’ home turf.

GAP Members and sports fans from all over are teeing it up at “The Bank” for a golfing experience like no other. The event itself – which sold out in under an hour – has been a resounding testament to just how much Philadelphia sports fans love their stadiums… and their golf.

“Upper Deck Golf knows that Philadelphia is a city that has great golf history and many dedicated Phillies fans; combine that with a unique opportunity to experience “The Bank” with only a few hundred fellow participants at a time, without 43,000 fans in every seat and it’s not surprising that our demand was so strong and everyone is having a blast. At the same time, we’re all contributing to a great cause as every ticket sold supports Upper Deck Golf’s partnership with Stand Up To Cancer,” said Marc Bender, Upper Deck Golf Managing Partner.

“The overwhelming response to Upper Deck Golf’s takeover of Citizens Bank Park showcases the passion and enthusiasm that GAP members and golfers in the region have for alternative golf experiences at any time of the year. The rapid sell-out is a testament to the excitement. We’re looking forward to finding more of these opportunities in the future,” said Steve Latos, GAP Director of Member Services.

Before and after the round, the stadium’s Hall of Fame Club hosts players as they check in and enjoy food and drink amongst Phillies’ history, including the World Series trophies themselves. When your scheduled tee time arrives, players are handed a bag of golf balls they’ll use to navigate the course.

Custom greens are mowed into the outfield grass, while tee boxes are platformed around the stadium’s upper levels, providing players with a loop they’d previously never thought possible. Designed with holes ranging from 75 to 150 yards, a dynamic-yet-challenging golfing experience is ensured for players of all skill levels. Slope distances help guide players through the course, especially when teeing it up from spots in the upper deck. There really is no shot in golf that compares to lifting a wedge over home plate, over the Philadelphia skyline and into the centerfield grass.

The games don’t stop once your round around the Bank is over. Inside the stadium’s UDG driving simulator, participants can take on the Driving Challenge for a chance to win exclusive prizes. A true test of your short game also waits with the Chipping and Putting Challenges, both held at the Clubhouse Festival inside the stadium.

Alternate forms of golf are just another way for GAP Members to enjoy the game no matter the format or venue. This week’s Upper Deck Golf visit to Citizens Bank Park is no exception. With programming plans in 2024, there will be even more chances coming soon.
