Meaghan Francella, a LPGA Teaching and Playing Professional for the last five years at Philadelphia Cricket Club, will be joining Team Pennsylvania as its fourth coach.
Francella will be joining Brenden Mitchell, Jill Finlan-Scally and Troy Williams alongside captain Scott Nye to lead Team Pennsylvania as part of the United States National Development Program (USNDP).

The role of these coaches is to be an integral leader of the Team Pennsylvania program and to further the mission of fostering future generations of American golf talent.
“I am extremely honored and proud to be named a coach for Team Pennsylvania,” Francella, 44, of Flourtown, Pa., said.
I am excited for the future of golf and am so excited to help with the development of our young stars.”
Francella grew up in Port Chester, N.Y. She played collegiately at the University of Memphis (2000-02) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2003-04). She was a first team All-American for UNC in 2004.
“Meaghan will bring her extensive knowledge of competitive golf and her in-depth teaching acumen to Team Pennsylvania,” Nye, 63, of Bryn Mawr, Pa., said. “She will join a trio of teachers who have set the bar high in our first year. Meaghan sees the game through a beautiful lens and has an incredible appreciation for all the game has to offer. Her infectious attitude and spirit will bolster our strong team of teachers and provide more help for members of the team. We are delighted that she has shown such strong interest in helping our team members play even better golf. We are very excited about how much she will contribute to the team.”
Following college, she played professionally for nine seasons, seven of those on the LPGA Tour. She won once on the LPGA Tour in a playoff over Annika Sorenstam at the 2007 MasterCard Classic.
“My goal is to be a coach not a crutch,” Francella said. “My long time coach always said that to me growing up. I help the players I coach understand how to own what they do. Give them the tools to succeed and then let them do their thing.”
