The inaugural Northeast Match Play Invitational produced a trio of champions Thursday at Country Club of Scranton (par 72, 6,785 yards).

Home-club hopeful David Mecca defeated Pocono Farms Country Club’s Patrick Mitchell, 2&1, to win the Amateur Division. Mecca, the reigning GAP/AGA Men’s Player of the Year, carded pars on Nos. 16 (par 4, 459 yards) and 17 (par 3, 220 yards) to secure victory.
Pocono Farms, figuratively speaking, found redemption in the Senior Division (par 72, 6,032 yards) as Mark Bartkowski triumphed over Elmhurst Country Club’s William Pabst, Sr., 4&2. Bartkowski won three of the first four holes and never relinquished the lead. In the Super-Senior Division, StoneHedge Golf Course’s Bob Andrejko stunned two-time reigning Player of the Year Joseph Weiscarger of Wyoming Valley Country Club, 2&1.
The Northeast Match Play Invitational is an invitation-only event based on the 2025 GAP/AGA Player of the Year standings.
