Brookreson, Scott take 46th Senior Four-Ball Stroke Play

     CAPE MAY COURTHOUSE, N.J.–David Brookreson of Pine Valley GC and Craig Scott of Huntingdon Valley CC carded a gross score of 2-under-par 70 to top 80 two-man teams and win the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s 46^th Senior Four-Ball Stroke Play Monday at Stone Harbor GC (par 72, 6,216 yards) on Monday.

They won in a tight, four-way match of cards over Frank DiGiacomo and Dennis Fellona of Merchantville GC; Don Donatoni of White Manor CC and Douglas Dick of Chester Valley GC, and Richard White of Jericho National GC and Michael McCorreston of The ACE Club, each of whom carded a 70.

  Scott brought his team from behind with birdies on the 453-yard, water lined, par-5 No.16, from 15 feet, and the 328-yard, par-4 18^th, from 25 feet, to tie for the lead and win the match of cards on the back nine.

  DiGiacomo and Fellona, starting early, led the field most of the day as Fellona carded four birdies, including three deuces on Stone Harbor’s tough par 3s.

  Robert Felter and Terry Radcliffe of Lancaster CC took low net honors with a 74-12—62, followed by White and McCooriston with 70-7–63. Jay Scattergood and Edward Godshall of Reading CC were third with 78-14—64.
