Registration for the first 13 Member Play Days of the 2020 season opens Tuesday at 9 a.m.
We are temporarily adjusting our registration policy to make each event registration ‘pending.’ This means that your place in the event will be kept in the order it was received, but your credit card will NOT be charged until the event is confirmed to move forward. Additionally, we are temporarily adjusting our withdrawal policy. If an event is confirmed, but you are not comfortable participating due to health concerns, all registrations will receive a full refund with no administration fees.
Listed below are the Member Play Days that are now open:
• June 1: Out Door Country Club
• June 15: Commonwealth National Golf Club
• June 15: LedgeRock Golf Club
• June 22: The Shore Club
• June 22: Trump National Golf Club – Philadelphia
• June 26: Philadelphia Cricket Club – St. Martins (9 Holes)
• June 29: Moselem Springs Golf Club
• July 6: Blue Bell Country Club
• July 13: Riverton Country Club
• July 14: North Hills Country Club
• July 20: Concord Country Club
• July 20: Jericho National Golf Club
• July 27: Llanerch Country Club
A major change in 2020: the lottery process for entry into Member Play Days has been eliminated. All events will now become first-come, first-serve. Additionally, all players must create a Golf Genius account through GAP’s registration form to play in the event. If you don’t know who your playing partners are yet, please type in “TBD” in the member search box and select one of the available TBDs (see image below). Golfers must go in and edit the registration to replace the TBD with the name of their partner prior to the close of registration for the event.
Also new this year is the cart system, where members can register for multiple events in one transaction. To do this, just login to Golf Genius first and then click “Add to Cart” from the event schedule page. Once you go to the checkout page, you can finalize the specifics for each registration. Please note that you are not guaranteed a spot in an event until you complete the payment process for that particular event, even if you have it in your cart.
GAP Member Play Days are open to all amateur Golf Association of Philadelphia individual members, ages 19 or older, who have a valid Handicap Index. Any GAP Member Play Day participant may request positions for up to four individuals.
All Member Play Days use a net Stableford scoring system. Points are awarded for each hole based on a score relative to par. In a Stableford system event, once you meet your net limit, you can pick up, so there isn’t any pressure to complete every hole. Each Member Play Day event features a shotgun start.
