Jessie Mercer of Canada carded a 2-under-par 71 to take medalist honors in U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Brookside Country Club of Allentown (par 73, 5,951 yards) Tuesday.

There were four qualifying positions available. Jackie Rogowicz of Yardley, Pa. carded a 1-under 72, Talia Campbell of New York, N.Y. carded a 1-over 74 and Hannah Zurich of Montoursville, Pa. carded a 3-over 76 to round out the group punching their tickets to the Championship proper.
The 39th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur will take place Aug. 29-Sept. 3 at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, N.J.
Mercer carded six birdies against four bogeys en route to medalist honors.
