We all know the GAP schedule includes perennials such as the BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship and the Father & Son trio. But did you know that GAP now offers tournament opportunities beyond the greater Delaware Valley? The GAP Central Series is comprised of 20-25 events staged at Member Clubs located in Central Pennsylvania. The AGA/GAP arm operates in Northeastern Pennsylvania, with celebrated staples such as the Coal Scuttle championships and the Lawler Junior Tour Series. Do you live outside the geographic areas referenced above? No problem. So long as you’re a GAP member, you can compete in the Central Series and in AGA/GAP events. Trust us. It’s worth the mileage.

  • The AGA (Anthracite Golf Association) merged with GAP in 2018.
  • The GAP Central Series offers Junior (ages 18 or younger) and Senior (ages 50 or older) events. The Central Stroke Play Championship, now in its second year, rounds out the Central calendar.
  • The AGA/GAP Lawler Junior Tour Series and the GAP Central Junior Series both feature nine-hole and 18-hole divisions.
  • Play in an AGA/GAP event for a chance to earn points in a season-long POY competition. Three categories here: Men’s, Senior and Super Senior.
