BLUE BELL, Pa. — Tim Hager, an amateur out of Philadelphia Cricket Club, carded a 2-under-par 69 to earn medalist honors in Open Championship Qualifying at Blue Bell Country Club (par 71, 6,772 yards) Monday.

Hager earned one of 33 qualifying positions and ties available for the Championship proper. The 119th Open Championship will take place July 19-20 at Lookaway Golf Club in Buckingham, Pa.
The cut line stopped at 5-over-par 76 by day’s end.
The Open Championship is the third Major of GAP’s tournament season.
