Four teams took the first championship honors of the GAP season at the GAP/DSGA Spring Classic.
The competitors teed off at Kings Creek Country Club on Monday and Rehoboth Beach Country Club Tuesday.
The Spring Classic is a 36-hole Net Stableford competition that had 50 tandems competing for the top spots. The team total score is calculated with the combined total of points earned by both players during the course of the two rounds.
The flights were based on handicap indexes. The following teams won their respective flights.
Flight 1: Mike and Ray Wankmiller, Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club, 137 points
Flight 2: Clark Bond and William Klimovich, Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club, 146 points
Flight 3: Joseph and Kevin Skerpon, Paxon Hollow Country Club, 143 points (Won in a scorecard playoff)
Flight 4: Harry Smith and Walter Bell, Ed Oliver Golf Club, 132 points
