Jeff Homer and Reagan Garnsey lead after Round One

Wilmington Country Club’s Jeff Homer carded a round of 74 to take the Round One lead of the 72nd Delaware Junior Boys’ Championship Thursday at Maple Dale Country Club (par 72, 6,407 yards).

A total of 10 players are within five shots of the lead, setting up a compelling final round on Friday. Including defending champion Matt Homer, Jeff’s twin brother.

In the 40th Junior Girls’ Championship, Wild Quail Golf & Country Club’s Reagan Garnsey fired a 76 to seize the first-round lead (par 72, 5,422 yards). She is looking for her second title. She won in 2021 at Mulligan’s Pointe.
