The finals of the inaugural Northeast Match Play Invitational will take place Sept. 24 at Country Club of Scranton.

In the Amateur Division, Dave Mecca of the host site opposes Pocono Farms Country Club’s Patrick Mitchell at 8 a.m. Mecca is the reigning GAP/AGA Men’s Player of the Year. Another Pocono Farms member in Mark Bartkowski will face William Pabst, Sr. of Elmhurst Country Club at 8:10 a.m.
The Super-Senior Division Final follows at 8:20 a.m. and features Bob Andrejko of StoneHedge Golf Course and Joseph Weiscarger of Wyoming Valley Country Club. Weiscarger is the two-time reigning GAP/AGA Super-Senior Player of the Year.
The Northeast Match Play Invitational is an invitation-only event based on the 2025 GAP/AGA Player of the Year standings.

It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 140,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland.
