Three teams take titles at Elkview

Schuylkill Country Club’s Luke Morgan and White Birch Golf Course’s Sean Misstishen carded an 8-under-par 64 to capture the 19th Founders Four-Ball at Elkview Country Club (par 72, 6,629 yards) Wednesday.

The duo prevailed by five strokes. The Founders Four-Ball, originated in honor of the Anthracite Golf Association’s forefathers, is a better-ball-of-partners event.

Home-club hopefuls Frank Osborne and John Pash won the Senior Division (par 72, 6,276 yards) with a score of 7-under-par 65. In the Super-Senior Division (par 72, 5,515 yards), Wyoming Valley Country Club’s Joseph Weiscarger, the two-time reigning Super-Senior Player of the Year, joined clubmate John Leighton en route to the winner’s circle. The duo carded an 8-under-par 64.
