Jonathan Wilson of the host club carded a 3-over-par 75 to capture the 17th Spring Stroke Play at Irem Country Club (par 72, 6,496 yards).Tuesday.
An even-par 36 on his inward nine gave Wilson the necessary edge to hold off Fox Hill Country Club’s A.J. Donatoni and Tyler McGarry by a stroke. In the Senior Division (par 72, 6,288 yards), Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Francis Vaughn won his first GAP/AGA trophy. He carded a 6-over-par 78 to prevail by a stroke over Jack Frost National Golf Club’s Bill Ianieri.
Wyoming Valley Country Club’s Joseph Weiscarger continues his impressive play in the Super-Senior Division (par 72, 5,467 yards). He posted a 3-under-par 69, the day’s lone subpar score.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 125,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland.
