Three teams take titles at Glenmaura National

Wyoming Valley Country Club’s Tom Biscotti and Fox Hill Country Club’s John Mikiewicz defeated home-club hopeful James Gardas and Honesdale Golf Club’s Eric Williams in a scorecard playoff to win the 17th GAP/AGA Founders Four-Ball at Glenmaura National Golf Club (par 71, 6,584 yards) Thursday.

Both teams finished regulation tied at 4-under-par 67. In a match of cards, Biscotti and Mikiewicz prevailed with a 32 on the back nine. Gardas and Williams played that stretch in even par.

LuLu Country Club’s Mark Czerniakowski and Huntsvile Golf Club’s Santo Lafoca won the event’s Senior Division (par 71, 6,151 yards) with a score of 4-under-par 67. In the Super-Senior Division (par 71, 5,694 yards), StoneHedge Golf Course’s Robin Bonda and Wemberly Hills Golf Club’s Tom Miller triumphed with a score of 5-under-par 66.

The event’s format is better-ball-of-partners.
