WEST
CHESTER, Pa. — GAP (the Golf Association of Philadelphia) formally honored its
2019 tournament winners during the organization’s 15th Player’s
Dinner at Radley Run Country Club.
The
event included cocktails, dinner and an awards presentation. The 2019 Players
of the Year — Pine Valley Golf Club’s Jeff Osberg (William Hyndman, III),
Overbrook Golf Club’s Oscar Mestre (Senior), White Manor Country Club’s Don Donatoni
(Super Senior) and Loch Nairn Golf Club’s Austin Barbin (Junior) — received
their respective awards. Elmhurst Country Club’s Billy Pabst, Jr. accepted the
Junior Sportsperson of the Year Award.
In
closing, GAP honored Llanerch Country Club’s Neil McDermott with its
Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Service Award honors individuals
who exemplify the spirit of the game at its highest level and who made a substantial
contribution to the game at the local, national or international level.
Individuals may come from any golf-related area or discipline.
The winter edition of GAP Magazine will include profiles of all of the aforementioned individuals.
