Educating the golfing population of the Philadelphia region is essential to the Association’s mission. Staying at the forefront of discussions throughout our game is a part of what we do. Making sure golfers in every state are up-to-speed and knowledge about the on goings of the game is important to us. For those reasons, programming and seminars are constant on the GAP calendar. Player development programs such as Golf in Schools and First Green allow inexperienced or aspiring golfers the chance to tee it up. Fore the Ladies events in the GAP region are the perfect networking opportunity for women golfers looking to learn about the game or meet fellow playing partners. GAP also offers seminars and meetings that cater to both Members and Member Clubs throughout the year. Also included in the Player Development realm is our growing Youth on Course program, which offers junior golfers the chance to play affordable golf all over the GAP region in order to strengthen their love for the game.

  • Golf in Schools takes place in 114 school systems.
  • Fore the Ladies and GAP have created numerous women’s programming events in 2021.
  • GAP holds a biannual College Golf Seminar, which aims to educate on golf at the next level.
  • The Club Rules Seminar provides a continuing education of the Rules of Golf. Attendees receive a complimentary Rules of Golf book to further educate their golf minds.
  • Player Development Director Taylor Hollander joined GAP in 2017. For any further questions, you can reach Hollander at thollander@gapgolf.org.
