The time has come: golf season has arrived.

The Golf Association of Philadelphia’s 2018 season officially opened Sunday, April 1. That means you can now post scores from courses in the Philadelphia region to your handicap record. The Association will revise handicaps on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Scores can be posted straight from your iPhone or Android thanks to the GAP App. Search “gapgolf” in the App Store or Google Play to download the newest version.

Beginning in 2017, handicap posting season for the Philadelphia region was extended by two weeks. Rounds played in the local area before Nov. 15, the first day of the offseason, can be posted to the golfer’s handicap record.

The schedule change was made by the GAP as a response to the mild weather in recent Novembers, as a way to give golfers a chance to post more rounds and to end up with a more accurate USGA Handicap Index.
