Morse returns to roots as GAP Tournament Director

Grant Morse, a long-term P.J. Boatwright Intern with the Association during the 2019 season, is returning to his GAP roots. Morse, originally from Sherrard, Ill., has been named the newest GAP Tournament Director.

Morse previously served as a Tournament Manager with the Florida State Golf Association.

“Having been a GAP intern in 2019, I am thrilled to be back in the Philadelphia area where there are some of the country’s finest golf courses. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with such a great staff and volunteer base throughout the GAP region,” said Morse, 25. “My internship with GAP gave me invaluable experience in tournament administration and helped me land a full-time position with the Florida State Golf Association. I’m excited to use those skills while building upon them here at GAP.”

Morse has a strong affinity for the game of golf after beginning to play in middle school. He then attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport & Recreation Management. His sports fanhood focuses mainly on his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.

“Golf has played a major role in my life ever since I was kid, growing up and learning the game. To be able have a career in this sport is something I never thought was possible. I am incredibly grateful to give back to the game that has given so much to me over the years,” said Morse. “I’m eager to get back to work with GAP, and can’t wait to try some cheesesteaks at GAP Member Clubs as well.”
