GAP 125th Celebration tees off tonight at Wilmington

Wilmington, Del. – GAP (Golf Association of Philadelphia) will host a commemorative gala to celebrate its 125th Anniversary on Monday, Aug. 15 at Wilmington Country Club.

The event begins with a cocktail reception in the biergarten beginning at 5 p.m. Programing starts at 7 p.m. in Wilmington Country Club’s members’ tent, adjacent to the members’ clubhouse. Coat and tie are required by all guests.

Programming will include dinner, followed by multimedia presentations, keynote speakers and awards presentations all focused on GAP’s history, growth and impact on the golf community.

Comcast Business will serve as the event’s presenting sponsor. Monday’s GAP Celebration kicks off BMW Championship week at Wilmington, a professional golf tournament which is the penultimate FedEx Cup playoff event on the PGA TOUR schedule. This is the first time a PGA TOUR event will be played in the state of Delaware.

Gala attendance is by invitation only and has been extended to GAP’s executive board, executive committee, USGA officials, award winners and other distinguished guests.
