Fricke medals in U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying

Aaron Fricke of Denver, Pa. carded a 2-under-par 68 to claim medalist honors in U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying administered by GAP at Hanover Country Club (par 70, 6,360 yards).

Joining the LuLu Country Club member in the Championship proper are Jan Jedlicka of Czechia and Burton Gesner of Severna Park, Md., who advanced in a 4-for-1 playoff. The cutline stopped at even-par 70 by day’s end.

The 44th U.S. Mid-Amateur will be contested at Troon Country Club Sept. 13-18, 2025 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
