Interns are a vital part of GAP. With membership and staff expansion, the opportunities are as bountiful as ever. For the 2024 season, GAP employed 12 interns, the largest class in its history.
In concurrence with the USGA’s P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program, GAP’s internship program provides hands-on, career-based opportunities for college or graduate students looking at a future career in golf administration. It will provide experiences that can help guide their professional path. GAP has 12 employees on staff who were former Boatwright interns including Executive Director Mark Peterson. He served as a Boatwright intern at the Wisconsin State Golf Association.
GAP will have interns in Championships, Communications, Member Services, Marketing and Data Services, Adaptive Golf and Northeast Pennsylvania Operations for the 2025 season.
