The 2025 GAP/AGA Player of the Year race nears the finish line; The Carlyle Robinson Fall Four-Ball, set for Oct. 13 at Fox Hill Country Club, is the final points-eligible event.
Country Club of Scranton’s Dave Mecca leads Fox Hill’s Tyler McGarry by 207.5 points in the Men’s Division. Mecca, the 2023 GAP Middle-Amateur Champion, won the Stroke Play Championship at Elmhurst Country Club and tied for third in the Men’s Coal Scuttle Championship. He and clubmate Cory Calvert will compete in the Carlyle Robinson Fall Four-Ball.
In the Senior Division, Elkview Country Club’s Ken Bolcavage holds an 80-point advantage over Pocono Farms Country Club’s Mark Bartkowski. The two, coincidentally, will join forces for the Carlyle Robinson Fall Four-Ball. Wyoming Valley Country Club’s Joseph Weiscarger heads the Super-Senior Division with 1,280 points. He is set to compete alongside Brian Weiscarger at Fox Hill Monday.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 130,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
