GAP offers new women’s learning opportunities

GAP introduces the GAP Women’s Online Learning Series. Join GAP on Zoom every week in April to discuss topics relevant for women golfers of all levels. Whether you’re signing up for your first tournament, or preparing to qualify for your next USGA Championship, there are learning opportunities for you. PGA professionals from four GAP Member Clubs as well as GAP Director of Championship Administration Laura Heien will serve as presenters. Each session will run from 9-10 a.m. An optional Q&A session will follow each presentation. Each session will be recorded. Free registration opens Feb. 21 and is available to all. The series kicks off April 3 with Tournament Golf – Do’s and Don’ts presented by Merion Golf Club Director of Instruction Joanna Coe and Aronimink Golf Club Assistant Professional Tessa Teachman. April 3: Tournament Golf – Do’s and Don’ts

April 10: Rules 101 – How to Learn the Rules/Most Common Rules Situations

April 15: GHIN 101 – What is a Handicap? 

Presenter: GAP Director of Championship Administration Laura Heien and USGA Director, Regional Affairs – Northeast

April 22: Goals and Setting Expectations

Presenter: Philadelphia Cricket Club LPGA Teaching Professional Meaghan Francella

It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 110,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
