Lauren Klick of Landenberg, Pa. carded a 5-over-par 77 to take medalist honors in U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Kennett Square Golf & Country Club (par 77, 5,994 yards) Tuesday.
There were four qualifying positions available. Morgan Yurosek of New York, N.Y. and Isabella Dilisio of Hatfield, Pa., and the Philadelphia Cricket Club, each carded 6 over 78s to punch their tickets to the Championship proper. Alyssa Godfrey also of New York, N.Y. carded a round of 79 to grab the final qualifying invitation. The 38th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur will take place Oct. 4-9 at Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Dunes Course) in Pebble Beach, Calif.
Klick, a DuPont Country Club member, birdied No. 1 (par 4, 365 yards) and carded an eagle on No. 16 (par 5, 375 yards).
