2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying: Radley Run

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — As the sun begins to set on the GAP tournament season, players are already vying for spots in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship, the first event on the USGA’s 2025 championship calendar.

In qualifying administered by GAP at Radley Run Country Club (par 73, 6,102 yards), Avery McCrery of Wilmington, Del. and Mi Li of Orlando, Fla. earned medalist honors with a score of 7-under 66.

Meredith Finger, also of Wilmington, Del., and Reagan Garnsey of Camden-Wyoming, Del., also qualified. They managed a round of 6-under 67.

There were two qualifying positions and two alternate positions available. The cutline stopped at 67. The 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship will take place May 10-14 at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club in Nichols Hills, Okla.

“We did not think we were going to be the medalist coming into the last hole, so it’s a nice treat,” McCrery, 17, and a Wilmington Country Club member, said. “[Mi] started off hot. She made a couple of birdies, and then we played steady all day. We made as many birdies as we could.”

The McCrery/Li side identified a birdie on No. 18 (par 5, 425 yards) as the key hole during their round. McCrery, a senior at The Institute for Civic Leadership (ICL) Academy hit her approach with a 3-hybrid onto the back fringe of the green. With 35 feet between McCrery, USGA qualifying invitations and the qualifying medal, the Duke University Women’s Golf commit confidently two putted to seal the deal. Li is a senior at The First Academy located in Orlando, Fla.

Finger and Garnsey struggled to contain their excitement as their U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball dreams became reality.

“We definitely ham and egged it well. Putting was really good from the start. Reagan made some clutch putts in the beginning which was really helpful to get the momentum going,” Finger, 16, and a junior at Archmere Academy, said.

“When one of us wasn’t playing great, the other one really stepped up. It was a very even split between us. We both made a lot of solid putts and clutch shots,” Garnsey, 17, and a senior at Caesar Rodney High School said.

The pair hit their stride on Nos. 10-14. On No. 12 (par 5, 505 yards), Finger hit her second, a 9-iron from 130 yards, to 40 feet. The DuPont Country Club member capitalized on the lengthy birdie try. Garnsey’s chance came on No. 14 (par 4, 384 yards). The Wild Quail Golf & Country Club member hit a pitching wedge from 130 yards to two feet to seal the side’s qualifying chances.
