GAP is committed to the health and well-being of its Members, Member Clubs and Staff throughout the region during the COVID-19 pandemic. The remaining scheduled GAP Championships/Tournaments have a revised entry procedure to ensure a safe, competitive environment. A number of GAP Championships/Tournaments have been canceled.
Major Championships
Amateur Championship – Field size reduced to 78 players consisting of exemptions and low handicaps entered.
Open Championship – Field size reduced to 78 players. Exemptions list will be expanded and invitations extended to fill the field.
Patterson Cup – Field size reduced to 78 players. Exemptions list will be expanded and invitations extended to fill the field.
Cart Policy for Championships (Amateur, Open, Patterson Cup) – All players are permitted to take single rider carts. GAP will pay facilities and bill players electronically through Golf Genius. If there is a Junior who is in the field and not of age, a parent/escort/chaperone is permitted to drive the cart. If carts are not permitted due to weather, then the event will continue as a walking event. A reminder, no caddies allowed.
Amateur Tournaments
Marston Cup – Field size reduced to 78 players. Entrants determined by lowest Handicap Indexes.
Tee It Forward – Fall Net Championship – Field size reduced to 78 players.
Junior Tournaments
Christman Cup – Field size remains 78 players. The event will be shortened to 18 holes due to the one-tee start policy. Playoff: scorecard tiebreaker with Player of the Year points to be split evenly.
Father/Son (Younger) – Field size reduced to 124 players (62 teams). One-tee start.
Jock MacKenzie – Field size reduced to 78 players – flights for Junior Boys and Junior Girls. Junior-Junior Divisions are canceled. Playoff: scorecard tiebreaker with Player of the Year points to be split evenly.
Junior Boys’ Championship – Field size reduced to 78 players. Entrants selected based on Handicap Index.
Junior-Junior Boys’ Championship – Qualifying will be done utilizing a one-tee start. This will extend the Championship by one day in order to complete match play.
Senior Tournaments
Brewer Cup – Field sized reduced to 78 players (54 seniors, 24 super seniors) consisting of exemptions and low handicaps entered. Playoff for match play to be decide by lot.
Chapman Cup (Gross) – Field sized reduced to 78 players (54 seniors, 24 super seniors) consisting of exemptions and low handicaps entered. Playoff: scorecard tiebreaker with Player of the Year points to be split evenly.
Chapman Cup (Net) – Field size reduced to 78 players.
Senior Amateur Championship – Field sized reduced to 78 players (54 seniors, 24 super seniors) consisting of exemptions and low handicaps entered.
Warner Cup (Gross) – Field sized reduced to 78 players (54 seniors, 24 super seniors) consisting of exemptions and low handicaps entered. Playoff: scorecard tiebreaker with Player of the Year points to be split evenly.
