History

George Arthur Crump founded Pine Valley Golf Club in 1913 with one goal: to create the ultimate test of golf. He selected a rugged tract of sandy pine barrens in southern New Jersey and personally shaped a course unlike any before it. Crump died before finishing his dream, yet his vision continued through the work of several legendary architects.

Harry Colt, A.W. Tillinghast, C.H. Alison, and Perry Maxwell refined the layout while preserving Crump’s original concept. As a result, the club became one of the most influential destinations in golf.

The Championship Course

Every hole presents a unique strategic challenge. Expansive bunkers, native sand, dramatic elevation changes, and bold green complexes demand precision from the opening tee shot to the final putt. At the same time, each hole offers a distinct look and strategy, creating a memorable round for every golfer.

Outstanding conditioning remains a hallmark of the Pine Valley Golf Club experience. In addition, the natural landscape defines the character of the layout instead of artificial features.
