History
Hershey Country Club is a GAP member course that opened in 1930 as part of Milton S. Hershey’s vision to create a world-class recreational destination in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The club quickly became one of the state’s premier golf facilities. Over the years, it has welcomed generations of golfers while hosting numerous amateur and professional championships. Today, Hershey Country Club remains an important part of the Hershey community. It continues to blend its rich history with modern amenities, making it one of Pennsylvania’s most respected private clubs.
The Golf Courses
Hershey Country Club features two championship golf courses that offer unique playing experiences. The East Course was designed by Maurice McCarthy and later renovated by architect Keith Foster to restore many of its original design features. Meanwhile, the West Course was designed by George Fazio and opened in 1970. Both layouts take advantage of the area’s rolling terrain, mature trees, and scenic landscape. In addition, multiple tee boxes allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy each course. The East Course has hosted prestigious events, including the PGA Professional Championship and numerous state and regional tournaments. As a result, they have earned a reputation for championship-caliber golf and exceptional course conditions.
