History
The Club at Shannondell is a public golf and swim facility located in Norristown, Pa. Formerly known as General Washington Golf Course, it offers an 18-hole track, which measures slightly more than 6,100 yards from the back tees. Golf Digest selected the course as one of its “Best Places to Play” in 2008-09. Aside from a golf course, The Club at Shannondell boasts an Olympic size swimming pool complete with a water slide and other water features for children.
