Open since April 1996, Deerwood Country Club is considered one of the premier clubs in the region. It is known for its immaculately groomed course, fine dining and attentive service. Deerwood’s links style course layout capitalizes on the natural beauty of adjacent wetland and wooded preserves, with a pond or preserve coming into play on a number of holes. Indigenous floral vegetation provides brilliant color on the fairway borders throughout the year. With four sets of tees, Deerwood offers challenge and enjoyable playability to various skill levels.
Deerwood’s clubhouse contains two formal dining rooms, a well appointed pro shop, men’s and women’s lockers, elevator, card room, pub and grill, offices and dual kitchens plus a spacious covered stone terrace that overlooks the 18th green and fairway. Deerwood has a reputation for excellent food, from golf snacks to fine dining and catering, in a comfortable, quality country club environment.
A 25-meter, six-lane pool, wading pool and cabana, and four hard, color-coated individually fenced and gated tennis courts are Deerwood amenities. The pool, open from May to September, is supervised by licensed water safety instructors, who offer swim lessons, aquasize and member events. A tennis professional is available for private lessons and clinics. Members receive preferential use of the course and clubhouse and have exclusive entry to club events and tournaments. Outside play is permitted on a space available basis. Founding, annual and corporate golf memberships are available by application. Social memberships are offered for those interested primarily in dining and social event privileges.
