Back to a full playing slate in 2021, the Association offers tournaments for all skill levels, scratch and net, at courses throughout its territory. Add in the Anthracite Golf Association and Central Series slates, and there’s now chances to play whenever and wherever your schedule allows. Whether you’re looking for an elite competitive event, or even just a friendly outing with a few teammates, there’s something for every golfer. And maybe even a trophy.
Facts:
- For more than 120 years, the Association has administered tournaments.
- GAP’s Amateur schedule is topped by four Major Championships, including the BMW Philadelphia Amateur, which is the oldest Amateur Championship in the United States with the exception of the U.S. Amateur.
- The Association runs a variety of Junior and Senior events, from gross and net competitions to team championships.
- Even more events were added to the GAP schedule in 2018 with the merge of GAP and the Anthracite Golf Association (AGA).
- The GAP Central Series was also added in 2018, offering more playing opportunities in the North Central Pennsylvania region of GAP.
