GAP offers instructional and competitive women’s opportunities throughout the year. In April, GAP introduced its Women’s Online Learning Series, a weekly scheduled Zoom discussion that explored topics relevant for female golfers of all levels. The competitive season kicked off with the 6th Women’s Spring Scramble at Chester Valley Golf Club in June. Later, GAP conducted its 3rd BMW GAP Women’s Championship at Overbrook Golf Club. The 6th Mixed Foursomes Championship tees off Sept. 6 at Medford Lakes Country Club. GAP also administers qualifying for several USGA championships available for women. Women are also eligible to register for Member Play Days. These laid-back playing opportunities are a great way to explore courses in the GAP Region.
In a continual effort to grow Women’s programming, the Association participates in events in conjunction with national championships in the area. This year, GAP staff members attended Women’s Executive Day at the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer at Seaview Hotel & Golf Club (Bay) and had a presence on the Women’s Golf Panel conducted prior to the U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club.
