GAP’s Charitable Arm expands giving opportunities

The J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust, GAP’s charitable arm, is expanding its giving opportunities. The Trust is introducing the Champions Circle at a $25,000 giving level. In addition to this new level, all current Lifetime donors will be welcomed as part of the Champions Circle. All new $10,000 gifts will now be recognized at the Platt Patron level.

With more than $29 million in scholarships given to more than 4,200 scholars since 1958, these new levels will help ensure that the Trust can continue to grow, adapt, and serve its Scholars for generations to come. 

The Champions Circle

Giving Level: 

  • $25,000 
  • Payable over 5 years ($5,000/year or in full)

Who’s Included: 

  • All previous Lifetime donors (Grandfathered in)
  • New donors pledging or contributing $25,000

Sustaining Level: 

  • $2,000 annually once the $25,000 gift fully funded  

Platt Patron

Giving Level: 

  • $10,000
  • Payable over 4 years ($2,500/year or in full)

Who’s Included: 

  • Any individual pledging or giving at the $10,000 level

Sustaining Level: 

  • $1,000 annually once the $10,000 gift is fully funded

GAP
Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 130,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
