Founded in 1897, GAP continues to champion golf for the benefit of the game in its region and beyond.
GAP welcomes Brett Carrigan as its Member Services Coordinator.
In this newly-created role, Carrigan will provide Golf Genius and GHIN technical support, resolve GAP Member and Member Club handicapping issues and assist the organization’s Member Services department as directed.
“GAP is a prestigious organization with a lot of history. There’s a strong culture here, and this was a great opportunity for future success and growth,” Carrigan, 24, of Cochranville, Pa., said. “I look forward to working with the staff, being around the game of golf and serving our membership to the best of my ability.”
Carrigan, a Temple University graduate, spent three years as a program manager for Soccer Shots, an introductory program for children ages 2-8. He focused on sales and partnerships.
“Brett’s experience set him apart from a strong pool of candidates. His previous role with Soccer Shots was reliant on communication with many different groups, which will translate into this role and the need to communicate with clubs, members, and vendors,” Steve Latos, GAP Director of Member Services, said. “His addition to the department will allow us to elevate our already strong customer service while exploring more opportunities to enhance department initiatives.”
Carrigan, an Octorara High School alum, started in the game of golf at age 12. Credit his father Jack, a Hartefeld National member, for the introduction. Brett also previously worked in the golf space. In 2019, he served as an operations intern at Aronimink Golf Club, specializing in food and beverage services as well as events.
