Players compete for pro shop credit with prizes awarded to the Top 5 finishers of each Challenge.
Participation is open to male and female GAP Members with an active Handicap Index. GAP Members can access the Challenges by opting in via a notification received on the GHIN app after posting their score at a participating course, or by using the links provided on the GAP GHIN Challenges webpage. Challenge periods remain active at four GAP Member Clubs for approximately six weeks at a time. The first Challenge period begins April 1, the start of active handicap-posting season in the GAP Region, and ends May 17. Players must post a minimum of three scores during the Challenge period to be eligible for a course’s competition. Once three scores are posted, a player’s name is added to a live leaderboard for that Challenge. The leaderboard can be viewed via the GHIN app. Players may only participate in one Challenge per Challenge period. If more than three rounds are posted at a course within a Challenge period, the player’s best scores will be used in calculating their overall total.
Broad Run Golfer’s Club, Five Ponds Golf Club, Green Pond Country Club and Jeffersonville Golf Club will host during the first Challenge period.
For more information, visit the GHIN Challenges webpage. Questions can be directed to GAP Manager of Member Services Brad Jewett via email at bjewett@gapgolf.org or by phone at 610-687-2340 ext. 0020.
