Registration for the 120th BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship will now open on Thursday, April 2. It was originally scheduled to open Monday, March 23.
Lancaster Country Club, host of the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open, welcomes the BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship June 16-18 & 20.
Regarded as GAP’s premier event, the BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship spans four days and showcases the region’s top amateurs. Participants first compete in a 36-hole stroke play qualifier for one of 32 match play spots available. Day Two features first and second-round matches, followed by the quarterfinals and semifinals on Day Three.
The remaining two players face off in a 36-hole final on Day Four. The winner is awarded the J. Wood Platt Trophy.
BMW returns for a sixth consecutive year as the event’s presenting partner.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 288 Member Clubs and 75,000 individual members are spread across the Eastern half of Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
