Molly Baker joins GAP as Manager of Adaptive Golf/Women’s Golf.
She will lead GAP Adaptive operations, including No Limit Clinics and Adaptive Play Days, while supporting the administration of the GAP Adaptive Championship. Baker will focus on growing GAP’s women’s programming and awareness of Association services. Additionally, she will support the Championship Department’s day-to-day responsibilities.

Baker, a Huntley, Ill. native, recently completed a 12-month P.J. Boatwright Fellowship in Championships.
“GAP has a lot of good values and is filled with good people. We all have the same goal,” Baker, 23, now of Clifton Heights, Pa., said. “Whether it’s Adaptive Golf, women’s golf, championships or Youth on Course, we want to get more people access to the game of golf.”
Prior to her fellowship at GAP, Baker attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There, she studied elementary education and represented the Kohawks on the women’s golf team.
She pivoted her career aspirations from the classroom to the golf course during the summer prior to her senior year at Coe. Her coach urged her to apply for a P.J. Boatwright Internship at the Iowa Golf Association.
“I knew I was going to either go into teaching or try to do something with golf. I just didn’t really know what I was going to do within golf,” Baker said. “After I did that internship, I decided I was going to give a year to golf and see where I could end up.”
Her exploration brought her to GAP as a 12-month fellow last year. During that time, she supported championships in all facets of championship administration including course setup, player communications, official scoring and more.
“I felt like the level of golf is a lot different out here because there are so many good golf courses within the area,” Baker said. “When I first started, I felt like this was going to be a really good learning experience wherever I ended up.”
“Molly did an amazing job with us in her fellowship year, and we are thrilled to have her on the team full-time in this new role,” GAP CEO Mark Peterson said. “Her experience working with our GAP Adaptive program last year has positioned her well to help us continue to grow our No Limit Clinics and our GAP Adaptive Championship. As a former college golfer, she understands the competitive world and can use that experience to work toward our overall goal of constant improvement. From Day 1, we could see Molly’s potential, and we’re excited to have her as Manager of Adaptive Golf/Women’s Golf.”
