Williamson Cup
Team Delaware is ready to host the 60th Williamson Cup at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. It will be Delaware’s last time competing in the Williamson Cup.
The battle between a mix of 10 state and regional golf associations over 36 holes of stroke play will commence Aug. 12-13. The Williamson Cup will decide which golf association has the best Junior competitors. The three lowest scores from each four-man team will count toward the team total.
The Williamson Cup was established in 1964 by A. Fred Williamson in memory of his father, one of the original founders of Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The Rochester District Golf Association took last year’s title with a team score of 445. Team Delaware finished 10th with a score of 467.
