GAP will circle the wagons — and the birdies, of course — when it travels to Country Club of Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. for the 56th Williamson Cup.

One of the nation’s premier Junior golf events, the Williamson Cup features teams from eight state or regional golf associations competing in 36 holes of stroke play. The low three scores on each four-man team counting toward the team total.
The Williamson Cup was established in 1964 by A. Fred Williamson, in memory of his father, one of the original founders of the famed Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. It was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
GAP holds seven titles overall (1969, 1984, 1987-88, 1991, 1993, 2000). Below is a look at its 2021 Williamson Cup team.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 300 Member Clubs and 80,000 individual members are spread across the Eastern half of Pennsylvania and parts of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.
