Official Bank of GAP returns as Patterson Cup sponsor

BROOMALL, Pa.–The GAP (Golf Association of Philadelphia) is pleased to announce the extension of a multi-year corporate partnership with Provident Bank.

Provident Bank, which has a more than 185-year history of commitment to its customers, team members, and the communities it serves, retains its role as the Official Bank of GAP and the presenting sponsor of the Joseph H. Patterson Cup. The Patterson Cup is the Association’s stroke-play championship and carries 120-plus years of history. This year’s Patterson Cup is set for Aug. 6-7 at Waynesborough Country Club.

In addition, through this partnership, Provident will collaborate with GAP to develop marketing programs, corporate networking events and charitable initiatives. GAP’s charitable arm, the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust, will be the main beneficiary.

“Provident has been a great partner, and we are excited to continue and expand our relationship,” said Mark Peterson, GAP Executive Director. “Provident’s support of the Patterson Cup has elevated the stature of an already prestigious event. Its commitment to Platt will further strengthen the Caddie Scholarship and the opportunities it provides for students. We look forward to building on this success in the years to come.”

“We are proud to extend our partnership with GAP,” said Anthony Labozzetta, President and CEO, Provident Bank. “This renewed commitment reflects our shared values of teamwork, excellence, and community engagement. Together, we look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the game of golf, while supporting charitable endeavors that benefit the communities we serve.”
