Registration for the 121st GAP Open is now available open. The championship will commence July 16-17 at Bidermann Golf Course.
It’s open to professionals who are active members of the Philadelphia Section PGA in good standing (the A-3 classification is not eligible), head professionals of GAP Member Clubs, assistant professionals of Member Clubs who are active members of the New Jersey Section PGA and male amateurs who are members of GAP Member Clubs and have a Handicap Index of 5.0 or less.
The path to the John J. McDermott Trophy starts with GAP Open qualifying at these four sites.
Bidermann hosted the Open in 1975 won by Aronimink Golf Club’s R. Jay Sigel. Sigel won by a total of 12 shots, which is still a tournament record. This will be the 50th anniversary of his historic feat. Sigel carded rounds of 66-71.
