| 2024 Delaware Schedule | Delaware site |
The 2024 Delaware Tournament Schedule is locked in.
The season kicks off with the Spring Classic at Kings Creek Country Club and Rehoboth Beach Country Club April 15-16. It will end Oct. 21-22 at Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club for the Fall Classic.
The Delaware Major Championship rota is strong. It starts with the 73rd Delaware Amateur at White Clay Creek Country Club in Middletown, Del, June 24-26. The 59th Delaware Open will return to Fieldstone Golf Club for the third time Aug. 12-13 with qualifying taking place at Odessa National Golf Club on July 29.
On the junior calendar, St. Annes Golf Links will host the 73rd Junior Boys’ Championship and 41st Junior Girls’ Championship July 23-24.
Chances for senior glory will take place twofold. The 9th Delaware Super-Senior Championship will take place at Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club Aug. 5-6. The 73rd Delaware Senior Amateur at Bear Trap Dunes Aug. 21-22.
The 35th Delaware Mid-Open and Mid-Amateur will take place Oct. 7 at Bayside Resort Golf Club.
There are a total of 11 events where women are eligible to participate. Highlighted by the 41st Junior Girls’ Championship, Women’s Divisions in the Delaware Senior Amateur, Super-Senior Championship and Four-Ball Championship.
In addition, Delaware will host two honorary team events. The Williamson Cup will be at Rehoboth Beach Country Club Aug. 12-13 and the Senior Challenge Matches at Bidermann Golf Club on Oct. 8.
For all events, entries open six weeks in advance, and will close seven business days in advance unless otherwise noted.
New this year, the winner of the Delaware Amateur Championship, an official USGA Exemption event, receives an automatic bid into the U.S. Amateur Championship. The runner-up will be exempt into 2025 U.S. Amateur final qualifying. Last May, the USGA announced revisions to that event’s qualifying model. The U.S. Amateur will move from a one-stage, 36-hole qualifying format to a two-stage qualifying format with an 18-hole local qualifier and an 18-hole final qualifier.
As part of the changes, the USGA announced exemptions into the Championship proper for state, Allied Golf Associations, regional and national amateur champions based on established criteria and historical WAGR event power rankings.
