2024 Delaware 27-hole Challenge: Bear Trap Dunes

Eight flight winners take home prizes in 27-hole Challenge

A total of 84 teams headed to Bear Trap Dunes (par 72, 6,275 yards) for the Delaware 27-hole Challenge.

The day featured a format of nine holes of three formats: Scramble, Better Ball of Partners and Alternate Shot. Teams were flighted into one of eight flights based on team handicap. Pairs consisting of one professional and one amateur were divided evenly in two flights. All ties were broken were broken using the following order: Alternate shot total, Alternate shot + better ball total, etc.

On the day, professional Brian Bryson and Ron Jamarowicz shot 9-under-par 99 across the 27 holes. They topped the Pro-Am Flight 1.

  • Pro-Am Flight 2: Kyle Dalton of White Clay Creek Country Club and Joe Spitaleri of Ed Oliver Golf Club (4-under 104)
  • Flight 1: Matthew Perry and Erik Brubaker of Ocean City Golf Club (7-under 101)
  • Flight 2: Brandon Becker and Ryan Dill of Newark Country Club (5-under 103)
  • Flight 3: Ron McGaw and Tyler McDonald of Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club (3-over 111)
  • Flight 4: Ray and Mike Wankmiller of Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club (2-under 106)
  • Flight 5: Tom Tobin of DuPont Country Club and Brian Haley of Westwood Golf Club (1-over 109)
  • Flight 6: Gene Karwacki and Donald Dzedzy of Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club (4-over 112)
