Winter Series
As you walk past Christmas décor at your favorite retail store, you likely think, “Really? It’s only September.”
As you read this, you’ll likely think, “Really? The Winter Series is here already?”
It is. Well almost. Registration for the fall slate of the 2021-22 Winter Series opens today. Below is the schedule:
Date | Venue | Shotgun start |
Tuesday, Nov. 2 | Medford Lakes | 11 a.m. |
Tuesday, Nov. 16 | Golden Oaks | 11 a.m. |
Tuesday, Nov. 23 | North Hills | 10 a.m. |
Cost is $40 per person per event, plus a $35 cart fee per event. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The format for each event is individual gross and net stableford, with a field size of 88.
The Winter Series is open to all GAP members 18 years of age or older, Philadelphia PGA Section members and golf professionals of GAP Member Clubs. It began in 2008 as a way to offer players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, offseason months.
For more information on the Winter Series, contact Chris Roselle, GAP Tournament Director, at 610-687-2340 ext. 29 or via email at croselle@gapgolf.org.
GAP
Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 300 Member Clubs and 80,000 individual members are spread across the Eastern half of Pennsylvania and parts of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
