Founded in 1897, GAP continues to champion golf for the benefit of the game in its region and beyond.
| Handicap Active and Inactive Season Schedule |
The active handicap-posting season for the Philadelphia region ended on Nov. 14.
Only scores from areas that are still in active seasons can be posted to your handicap record until April 1. Those areas include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Southern Nevada, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Score posting for rounds played at courses in the GAP region will resume at the start of the Association’s next season — April 1, 2021.
This year, an influx of beneficial changes arrived in the form of the new World Handicap System, which took effect Jan. 1, 2020. Handicap revisions now occur daily. The WHS brought six-different handicap systems together into a single set of Rules for Handicapping, enabling golfers of different abilities to play and compete on a fair and equal basis. For more resources, visit GAP’s World Handicap System page.
The way scores are posted in the GAP region changed this season as well. While the GAP App was retired, scores should now be posted on GHIN.com from a computer, or via iPhone or Android through the GHIN App. Search “GHIN” in the App Store or Google Play to download the newest version.
If you have a question, contact the Handicapping Department at 610-687-2340 ext. 20 or email handicapping@gapgolf.org.
