What you see: a foot of snow on the ground. What you think: the GAP Winter Series.

OK, so maybe sledding, snowballs and/or shoveling cross your mind first. But golf is there somewhere, and so too is the Winter Series. Below is the spring slate:
Date | Venue |
Wednesday, March 10 | Whitford Country Club |
Tuesday, March 16 | Bellewood Country Club |
Tuesday, March 23 | Medford Village Country Club |
Wednesday, April 7 | LuLu Country Club |
Wednesday, April 14 | Heidelberg Country Club |
Registration is now open. Cost is $40 per person per event, plus a $35 cart fee per event. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Whitford event will feature a better-ball-of-partners format. Individual gross and net Stableford is the scoring format of the remaining Winter Series events. All feature 11 a.m. shotgun starts.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and potential travel restrictions, those who enter a Winter Series event must acknowledge and accept a tournament waiver during the registration process. GAP reserves the right to refuse entry if travel restrictions between states remain applicable.
In addition, single-rider carts, implemented during the fall portion of the 2020-21 Winter Series, will no longer be mandatory.
The Winter Series is open to all GAP members 18 years of age or older, Philadelphia PGA Section members and golf professionals of GAP Member Clubs. The Winter Series began in 2008 as a way to offer players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, offseason months.
For more information on the Winter Series, contact Chris Roselle, GAP Tournament Director, at 610-687-2340 ext. 29 or via email at croselle@gapgolf.org.
