Playoffs decide winners at Glenmaura National

Sudden-death playoffs determined the winners of three divisions in the 14th GAP/AGA Spring Stroke Play at Glenmaura National Golf Club (par 71, 6,584 yards).

The host club’s Patrick Mitchell defeated Berwick Golf Club’s Jacob Kehres to capture the Amateur Division. Both players finished regulation tied at even-par 71. In the Senior Division (par 71, 6,151 yards), Pocono Farms Country Club’s Mark Bartkowksi fended off Country Club of Scranton’s Fran Hamm and Elmhurst Country Club’s Bob McCloskey in overtime. All carded respective 5-over-par 76s.

Nittany Country Club’s Vince Scarpetta, Jr. birdied No. 9 (par 4, 131 yards), the first playoff hole, to defeat Buck Hill Falls Golf Club’s Tom White for the Super-Senior Division (par 71, 6,594 yards) title.
