Kenneth A. Phillips of Lancaster Country Club has been elected to serve a third and final one-year term as President of GAP for its 2026 fiscal year, per the recommendation of the GAP Nominating Committee. The report was presented and approved during the Association’s 129th Annual Meeting on Nov. 19 at Sunnybrook Golf Club. Phillips was elected as the 35th Association President in 2024.
Also elected to one-year terms as Officers are Jeffrey B. Armbrister, Philadelphia Cricket Club, Vice President; Meghan A. Adams, Wilmington Country Club, Secretary; and David Kornblatt, Merion Golf Club, Treasurer. Armbrister and Adams return in the same roles. Kornblatt replaces the retiring P. Edward Lovelidge of Union League National Golf Club. Jeffrey S. Henderson of Gulph Mills Golf Club is re-elected for a one-year term in his current role as General Counsel.

Others on the GAP Board of Directors who were elected to serve additional one-year terms each are Jacqueline F. Beck, Lehigh Country Club; James J. Black, III, Philadelphia Country Club; Adam Bracy, Tavistock Country Club; James A. Collins, Lookaway Golf Club; Drew W. Garis, North Hills Country Club; Michael H. Lewers, Aronimink Golf Club; Nitza I. Quiñones, USGA/GAP GC; Jack Wallace, Riverton Country Club and MaryAnn Watson, Huntingdon Valley Country Club. Jeffrey Mitzak of Philadelphia Cricket Club is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors with his role as Chairman of the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust.
New to the Board are Eamon J. Evans, Glenmaura National Golf Club; Kevin P. Kelly, Old York Road Country Club and Christopher Thude, Union League Golf Club at Torresdale. All three were elected to serve one-year terms.
Evans, 41, of Clarks Summit, Pa., is a Sales Director at Agilent Technologies based in Santa Clara, Calif. Agilent is a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics and applied markets. Evans graduated from Temple University (2006) with a chemistry degree. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University (2013) in high technology management. He is a member at Glenmaura National Golf Club and the Country Club of Scranton. Evans has been a member of the GAP/AGA Championship Committee since 2020 and has been a regular participant in the GAP/AGA circuit with four career victories (2017-18 Ben Marshall Spring Four-Ball; 2019 Spring Stroke Play and 2024 Sam Spencer Four-Ball).
Kelly, 59, of Horsham, Pa., is recently retired from Kelly + Partners, Inc., a document management service he founded and managed the last 25 years. Kelly grew up in the game. He caddied at Old York Road Country Club through high school and college before joining as a member immediately after graduating from Temple University. Caddying and the art of it is important to Kelly. He is a J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Ambassador and has an endowment dedicated in his own name. A talented player, Kelly later joined Philadelphia Cricket Club and has been a member of each of the five victorious BMW GAP Team Matches squads in that club’s history. Kelly has also competed in the U.S. Mid-Amateur and U.S. Senior Amateur.
Thude, 41, of Collegeville, Pa., is a licensed real estate agent with RE/MAX Access, serving Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs since 2005. With nearly two decades of experience, Thude has guided hundreds of clients through buying and selling homes across the region. A 20-year member of Union League at Torresdale, Thude is also an active member of Union League at Liberty Hill, where he has served as Golf Chairman. Thude has served as the BMW GAP Team Matches captain for both clubs.
Retiring from the Board as of GAP’s Nov. 30, 2025 fiscal year-end is Lovelidge (2019-25); Larry McClure, Frosty Valley (2021-25) and Glenn D. Meyer, Union League Liberty Hill (2014-25). Lovelidge served as Treasurer from 2022-25. McClure served as GAP’s voice in the Anthracite region and on the AGA Championship Committee. Meyer served as GAP Championship Committee Chairman 2018-25.
The 2025 Nominating Committee was chaired by Oscar Mestre (Immediate GAP Past President, 2021-23), Overbrook Golf Club. Its other members were Robert M. Morey (GAP President, 2012-15), Merion Golf Club, and Daniel B. Burton (GAP President, 2006-08), Lancaster Country Club.
