Kenneth A. Phillips of Lancaster Country Club has been elected to serve a second one-year term as President of GAP for its 2025 fiscal year, per the recommendation of the GAP Nominating Committee. The report was presented and approved at the Association’s 128th Annual Meeting on Nov. 20 at Gulph Mills Golf Club. Phillips was elected as the 35th Association President a year ago.
Also elected to one-year terms as Officers are Jeffrey B. Armbrister, Philadelphia Cricket Club, Vice President; Meghan A. Adams, Wilmington Country Club, Secretary; and P. Edward Lovelidge, Union League National Golf Club, Treasurer. Jeffrey S. Henderson of Gulph Mills Golf Club is re-elected for a one-year term in his current role as General Counsel.
Others on the GAP Executive Committee who were elected to serve additional one-year terms each are James J. Black, III, Philadelphia Country Club; James A. Collins, Lookaway Golf Club; Drew W. Garis, North Hills Country Club; David Kornblatt, Merion Golf Club; Michael H. Lewers, Aronimink Golf Club; Larry McClure, Frosty Valley; Glenn D. Meyer, Union League Liberty Hill; and MaryAnn Watson, Huntingdon Valley Country Club. Tina S. Gregor of Huntingdon Valley Country Club is an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee as a result of her role as Chairwoman of the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust.
New to the Committee is Nitza I. Quiñones, USGA/GAP GC Club. Quiñones was elected to a one-year term. She is the first USGA/GAP GC Club member to serve on the GAP Executive Committee.
Quiñones, 73, of Philadelphia, Pa. serves as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She was born to a military family in Puerto Rico and moved to Philadelphia in 1975. She worked for the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs before being elected as a judge on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in 1991. In 2013, she was confirmed by the United States Senate to her current role.
Retiring from the Executive Committee as of GAP’s Nov. 30, 2024 fiscal year-end is Tracey S. MacGown (2019-24).
The 2023 Nominating Committee was chaired by Oscar Mestre (Immediate GAP Past President, 21-23). Its other members were Robert M. Morey (GAP President, 2012-15), Merion Golf Club, and Daniel B. Burton (GAP President, 2006-08), Lancaster Country Club.

Celebrating Amateur Golf since 1897, GAP, also known as the Golf Association of Philadelphia, is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The organization’s 345 Member Clubs and 110,000 individual members are spread across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. The GAP’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
